"You'll get MOORE for your vote!"

Why I Am Running

My name is Lindsay Moore, and I’m running for El Paso County Commissioner, District 1.

I’m not running because this is a stepping stone or the next thing to do. I’m running because I want to be the servant leader El Paso County needs. Like many of you, I’m a taxpayer and a stakeholder in District 1.

I’m tired of politicians who say one thing and do another. I’m tired of the inside game where a few people try to pick the next commissioner to benefit their own interests. I won’t accept the status quo as normal. I want a Board of Commissioners that does what it says and says what it means and serves the people of El Paso County.

Families in El Paso County cannot afford to keep paying more in higher taxes and hidden fees, while getting less care and service. We deserve leaders who show up, listen and get results.

In 2020, the Board of County Commissioners shut down the county and many small businesses were forced to close. Later, leaders acted like it was not their fault. But there is no excuse for messing with people’s jobs, businesses, and livelihoods. Government decisions have real consequences, and we need leaders who take responsibility.

As your next Commissioner I will make El Paso County a bastion of freedom again, focused on limited government, strong public safety, and real accountability. I will stand with our Sheriff and ensure law enforcement has the support needed to keep our communities safe.

I will make it clear that El Paso County will not be strong armed by the bureaucracy of the state.

You can count on me to stand up for El Paso County, and I hope I can count on your vote.

Vote for Lindsay Moore. You will get MOORE for your vote!

Key Platform

1

Fiscal Responsibility and Affordability

Cut red tape, remove hidden fees, and stop wasteful spending to help families afford life in El Paso County. Protect TABOR so taxpayers keep their rights and government stays accountable.

2

Public Safety

Support the Sheriff’s Office with the staff, training, and tools needed to reduce crime and keep our neighborhoods safe. Improve response times and strengthen emergency planning so help arrives fast when it’s needed.

3

Roads and Infrastructure

Focus on fixing roads, not fancy projects: fill potholes, repair rough streets, and improve drainage. Deliver safer, smoother roads that last and use taxpayer money wisely.

Second Amendment

El Paso County is a Second Amendment county, and I will fight to keep it that way. The right to keep and bear arms is not a privilege granted by government, it is a constitutional right that protects law abiding citizens and helps families defend their homes. As your County Commissioner, I will oppose any local policy that infringes on lawful gun ownership, support our Sheriff in enforcing the law while respecting constitutional rights, and stand against backdoor restrictions that punish responsible citizens instead of criminals.

Endorsements.

I’m honored to earn the support of trusted community leaders, local business owners, and neighbors who care deeply about District 1. These endorsements are not about politics as usual, they are about common sense leadership, public safety, and protecting taxpayers. I will work every day to keep my word, stay accessible, and fight for a county government that serves the people, not special interests. If you share these values, I would be grateful for your endorsement and your vote.
